Successful handover of the first ICE 1 prototype with the digital signalling system ETCS.

The task

When the ICE 1 fleet was retrofitted with the European train control system ETCS, I steered the project-specific quality management across all Alstom sites involved.

What I did

  • Developing, preparing and running milestone and gate reviews (DB Q-Gates)
  • Aligning and implementing customer quality requirements
  • Customer acceptances and customer audits, internal and external process audits
  • Project interface for engineering quality, industrial quality and supplier quality
  • Opening 8D cases and safety cases and driving them to closure
  • Quality trainings such as 8D and Ishikawa
